About this tool
A free browser-based tool that compresses images to a size you choose. Process multiple files at once and download them as a ZIP.
Start from a common size limit
Need a specific cap? These pages pre-set the target size for frequent upload limits.
- Under 200KB— Thumbnails and strict caps
- Under 500KB— Web forms and document uploads
- Under 1MB— Email attachments and blogs
How do I use it?
Add images, choose a target size, output format, and resize if needed, then press Compress all. When finished, download a single image or a ZIP for multiple files. Images already under the target are skipped unchanged.
Which formats are supported?
JPG (JPEG), PNG, and WebP. JPEG suits photos, PNG suits graphics or transparency, and WebP is often more efficient at similar quality. PNGs that cannot meet the target may be converted to WebP automatically. HEIC/HEIF may open in some browsers but is not officially supported.
How does target-size compression work?
Pick a preset (100KB–5MB) or a custom size, then press Compress all. Quality is adjusted automatically to aim for that limit or less. Files already under the target are left as-is.
What about image quality?
Quality may change to meet the size cap. The tool avoids over-compressing far below the target and prefers the highest quality that still fits. Long-edge resize makes smaller files easier to achieve.
Is my privacy protected?
Images are not uploaded to a server. Processing stays in your browser, and nothing is stored in a server database. Downloads stay on your device.
